Type C it is. :D

Anonymous, 10 Jun 2022 Your obliviousness is pitiful. I won't be surprised if you don't have any friends. Sure, I'm oblivious to the fact chassis without any hole has better water resistance than chassis with hole and connector socket in it... It seems you're describing yourself LOL

I refuted your comment by presenting a fact that contradicts your comment. Laughing when you get destroyed in a debate is pathetic. Don't do this in real life.

I don't care what IP rating you slap on it, a device with rubber gasket sealed port cannot EVER be as water resistant as one that doesn't have it at all. I've worked with dive watches, I know how water and depth works, thank you very much.

The Xperia 1 IV, for example, is rated IP65/IP68, and it has a charging port and a headphone jack. Having a charging port doesn't prevent a phone from having water resistance.

D... more And still having a hole in the device doesn't improve water ingress even if you can still wirelessly charge it. I read your comment alright, but you haven't mine where I talked how removing holes from device is beneficial for water and dust resistance...

You must be a very dirty person if the USB-C port of your phone collects a lot of dust just because you put your phone in your pocket.

SShock, 07 Jun 2022 Did you even bother to read my comment at all? Did you even read my comment? Phones that have charging ports can support wireless charging. Don't you understand this simple fact?

SShock, 07 Jun 2022Not really. Lightning on the plug side can't even collect any dust or lint and on the soc... more Like I said i never had to clean a usb C plug for any reason. Lightning on the other hand yes. And barring extreme use case there is real reason why you should need to clean a usb c plug

Trollhammeren, 07 Jun 2022The lint and dust is mostly and iPhone plague tbh ... never had a usb C gunged up tbh ... and ... more Not really. Lightning on the plug side can't even collect any dust or lint and on the socket side, the hole is so big you can usually just blow the dust out or easily take it out with tweezers. USB-C on the other hand has a connection thing in the middle of the socket, making it much more difficult to clean once crap piles inside and it always does in devices that we carry in pockets.

SShock, 06 Jun 2022There are benefits to that. No more broken cable connectors, no more lint and dust stuck insid... more No, those aren't benefits. Phones with charging ports can support wireless charging and have water resistance. The latest Apple phones with charging ports are advertised that they have water resistance up to 6 m for 30 minutes. There are zero benefits for consumers to have phones without charging ports.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2022 Why would anyone want a phone without a charging port? There are benefits to that. No more broken cable connectors, no more lint and dust stuck inside ports, no more corrosion inside ports, less water and dust entry points. There are benefits. There are also drawbacks, like dependency on Qi charging, dependency for data transfers etc...

Tonberry, 05 Jun 2022I don't think it's a good idea, it basically freezes technology at the current level... more Why would anyone want a phone without a charging port?

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2022There is a considerable cost to using one connector in one market and another in others, so I ... more I mostly agree with you. I'm just saying that even if there is an added cost to using a different connector in a different market, no company is better poised to both do that and get their customers to pay for it than Apple. Apple got people to give up wired headphones and pay $160 for rock hard plastic bluetooth earbuds with mediocre sound.

King-chkopistan, 04 Jun 2022 Gaming laptops can excede 400w The current gaming laptop that has the highest peak consumption as I am aware is the Aorus 15P YD that has a measured peak consumption of 280watts (few seconds) and then typically when gaming the load is around 190watts . What kind of laptop has a consumption of 400w?
